The major transits we experience in our 40s

A transit is when a planet moves past a natal planet in your birth chart and makes an exact hit or aspects it directly.

These periods can bring profound changes in our lives especially the slower-moving planetary transits (Pluto, Neptune, Uranus and Saturn). Our early to mid-40s is a time of some major transits that can be hugely transformative and illuminating and bring massive personal growth, but man they're not always easy! You could also experience all of them at the same time - particularly fruity.

As I approach my 45th birthday I can look back on these transits from a very recent standpoint so here is my quick and general guide on how they could show up. However, the houses (life areas) and signs will have a massive bearing on how these manifest. You could also experience up to 3 exact hits per transit due to retrograde motion so some could linger for longer than others.

The ️Uranus opposition (at some point or points between ages 40 - 44)
This could be why the term 'mid-life crisis' came about! Expect an overwhelming need to conquer things we haven't gotten around to in our younger years with a massive sense of urgency, unexpected behaviour/change, and huge changes to career and/or relationships. The severity of how you experience this will depend on how happy you are in your current situation and how much air you have in your chart.

Neptune square Neptune (between 42 - 44)
It could show up as periods of massive confusion or brain fog and/or searching for a deeper meaning of life, deep self-reflection and spiritual development. This could also be a time of uncertainty about direction and life path.

The Saturn opposition (43 - 45)
The lord of lessons and karma will show up in a big way! Any inauthentic relationships will fall by the wayside, any underlying issues will be outed helping us to establish boundaries, readjust and reassess. Hard work and dedication are more likely to be rewarded and recognised.
